One Killed and Two Injured in Erie County
Two injuries and one death resulted from a DUI related crash in Erie County’s Amity Township. At about 5am Saturday morning Tiffany Burkett lost control of her vehicle while negotiating a right turn on Haskill Hill Road and collided head on with a tree. Burkett was wearing her seatbelt and only suffered minor injuries but her passengers were not. 29 year old Anthony Downer was taken to UPMC Hamot with potential major injuries and 33 year old Adam Fetzner of Erie died before EMS could arrive.
Found: Missing Tools
Pennsylvania State Police in Meadville are searching for the owners of tools found on Friday. Among the items was a grey crescent tool kit with the initials DWS as well as American Work Product brand tool belt and safety harness, safety glasses, and various tools. PennDOT Work Schedules Available
PennDOT has released their work schedule for the week of June 4th to the 8th. Spray patching, paving, bridge work, and ditching are all expected in Crawford, Venango, Erie, Franklin, Warren, Mercer, and Forest Counties. The Full work schedule can be found here.
Troopers Investigate Alleged Kidnapping
Shawn Dawson was picked up by State Police in Crawford County after allegedly taking his six year old daughter from her Mercer County Home without permission. He was located less than 2 hours afterward when he took his daughter to his mother’s Crawford County home. State Police officers from both Meadville and Mercer are investigating the incident.
Construction Site Burglary
State Police in Franklin are investigating the theft of tools from multiple companies at a construction site. On the night of Thursday March 31st someone entered the property on 44 Butler Street in Clintonville and broke into the construction trailers of Glenn O. Hawbaker Construction, J.C. Lee Construction, and Palo Construction. The following items were stolen from Glenn O Hawbaker: a Transit power head, DeWalt Sawzall, Makita cordless circular saw, and Milwaukee balloon light.
From Palo: A Husqvarna 555 chainsaw, 10 volt DeWalt drill, and Hilti 36 volt cordless drill.
From J.C. Lee: a stone plate tamper model 19.5 WP1550AW with serial #10618295.

Four More Bodies Disinterred from Carlisle Indian School Graveyard
On the 14th of June the US Army will be disentering the remains of four children who died at The Carlisle Indian School and returning the remains to their tribes. Hundreds of Native American children died at the facility which was meant to assimilate them into American society before the school was closed in 1918.
