Elder Man Leads Police on Miles Long Chase

From Meadville to Conneaut Lake 64 year old Anthony Wayne Collins lead Meadville City Police, Pennsylvania State Police, and Conneaut Lake Regional Police on a high speed chase that only ended with a head on collision. On Friday Collins lead police officers down 322 in Crawford County after refusing to stop his car for a traffic violation. The chase ended in Conneaut Lake Borough when he collided head on with a vehicle driven by Sharon Caroff of Meadville.

 

Body Discovered In Oil Creek

Authorities in Venango County will be performing an autopsy on an unidentified body found in the Allegheny River about half a mile south of Oil City on Memorial Day. Further details will be released once they are available.

 

Judge Shuts Down Mariner Pipelines

Both of Sunoco’s Mariner East Pipelines have been shut down by Pennsylvania officials once again. Citing sinkholes, contaminated water wells, and poor management Public Utility Commission Judge Elizabeth Barnes suspended operations of Mariner East 1 and Construction of Mariner East 2. Sunoco is appealing the decision.

 

Woman Injures Boyfriend in Drunken Rage

A Kennerdell Woman was arrested for choking and punching her boyfriend in a drunken rage. On saturday night Joann Tayler allegedly came home from the neighbor’s house at around 3:30 am and attacked her live in boyfriend Dean Knapp while he was asleep. Police say Taylor wrapped her hands around his neck and when he woke up she began to strike him in the face; he had scratches on his neck and a large bruise on his left eye. The victim was also threatened with a six inch kitchen knife when he tried to get his dog.

 

Guns, Money, Jewelry Stolen in Cochranton Burglary

Late Sunday night or early Monday morning someone broke into the Cochranton home of Scott Gray on Mule Street. A watch, a jar of change, and three firearms were taken from the house. If you might have information call the State Police in meadville (814)332-6911.
