More ATV Thefts in Warren County

PSP Corry
State Police from Corry reported the theft of two ATVs from a home in Warren County’s Columbus Township. One vehicle was a 1983 Honda ATC 200x trike with a white gas tank, red body and fenders, and blue seat. The other was a red late 90’s four wheel ATV from Honda with shiny rims. If you have any information on the theft please call the State Police in Corry or Warren County Crime Stoppers.


Vandals Steal Items from Auto Shop

An act of vandalism and theft at Jeff’s Automotive in Conneautville is being investigated by State Troopers. An unidentified suspect or suspects damaged a pair of Ford Trucks at the body shop and then stole gasoline and transmission fluid.


Huge Lottery Jackpot Claimed by Blind Trust

Pennsylvania lottery officials may never learn the identity of whomever purchased a $457 million dollar powerball ticket Pennsylvania. Attorney Andre Santana representing Emerald Legacy Trust claimed the prize on behalf of their client or clients and took the cash option which came to just about $200 million after taxes. The 8th largest prize in Powerball history was won on March 17th this year from a ticket purchased in Manheim PA.


Teen Assaults Two Youth Counselors

Two counselors at Project Starphish were allegedly assaulted by one of the children in their care. According to state troopers from Clarion the fifteen year old kicked one of the counselors in the face and pulled pieces of hair from the head of another before biting her on the breast. The teenager is being charged in Juvenile Court on charges of simple assault and two counts of harassment.


Meadville Medical Center Becomes Tier 1 Partner with UPMC Insurance

Meadville Medical Center has announced a tier 1 partnership with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center to ensure all their facilities, doctors, and treatments are covered as in network. All three hospital facilities as well as every clinic and physicians office connected to Meadville’s network will be included in UPMC’s commercial, medicare, and medicaid plans immediately.


Three Bill Government Reform Package In PA House

Pennsylvania State House Leadership in both parties is pushing for a package of bills that could significantly alter the state government and elections. One bill would introduce term limits for the chair positions in committees. Another proposed bill would give voters registered as Independent the ability to vote for a preferred party in primary elections. The third bill would reform the commonwealth’s redistricting process, creating an independent commission of citizens to perform the task.
