Camp Burglaries Trouble Venango and Clarion Counties

State Police are investigating a string of camp burglaries that happened earlier this month on Gravel Lick Road in Clarion County’s Millcreek Township. Between the 31 of March and 3rd of April five different camps were broken into, ransacked, and robbed. State Police from Clarion are looking for information at (814)226-1710.

We reported earlier this week on a similar string of burglaries at Kibbe’s Island Campground in Venango County. Between April 5th and 13th at least 21 separate camps were burglarized at the grounds. These burglaries are being investigated by the State Police in Franklin, call (814)676-6596 if you have any information.

 

ATF Investigates Theft of Explosives in Lancaster County

Hundreds of pounds of explosives were stolen from a work site in Eastern Pennsylvania. 640 pounds of dynamite and 400 blasting caps were stolen from a storage yard in Lancaster County. The explosives were being used in the construction of a natural gas pipeline named Atlantic Sunrise. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives is investigating the case, they say that cases like these are rare and only 15 similar thefts were reported in 2016.
