Career Day at Crawford County 911 Call Center

The Crawford County Department of Public Safety is teaming up with the various medical fire and police agencies in the region to hold a career day at the new 9-1-1 call center. The Event takes place starting on Saturday March 24 at 9am at the Crawford County Public Safety Building on Pine Street in Meadville. Anyone interested in a career in emergency services is especially invited to attend.


MMC Discusses Future of Conneautville Health Center

Meadville Medical Center has issued a press release in regards to their Conneautville Health Clinic. Despite the total loss of the structure which resided on 906 Washington Street MMC remains committed to providing healthcare there and will spend several months analysing their options for a way forward. Meanwhile Conneautville Patients can visit facilities in Conneaut Lake, Saegertown, and Cambridge Springs.


State House Majority Leader To Quit Politics

The majority leader of Pennsylvania’s House of Representatives announced he would be quitting elective politics after this year. Citing the divisiveness and negativity of national politics, Republican Dave Reed is backing out of running for United States Congress and giving up elected office period.


Cosby Retrial Begins in April

Jury Selection in a retrial for Bill Cosby has been scheduled for Monday April 2nd. On Monday the 19th Judge Steven O’Neill rejected a request by Cosby’s defense team to delay the trial another three months so that they could review allegations by five more women who will serve as witnesses in the upcoming trial. After a hung jury Cosby is facing a second trial for the alleged drugging and rape of a Temple University employee.
