Men Behaving Badly, Arrested for Violence and Drugs

City of Franklin PD and Pennsylvania State Police, Meadville
Police officers in the City of Franklin Arrested Joshua Matheison for domestic violence and endangering the welfare of another person. It’s alleged Matheison grabbed a woman by her throat; slamming her and a 16 month old baby against a door during an argument. Officers say they also discovered marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his possession. 
35 y/o Ian Dunton of Springboro was similarly arrested for domestic violence after allegedly slapping, grabbing, and pushing a 59 year old woman. Dunton is said to have wielded a shotgun and paced in and out of her home before leaving in his car and causing a one vehicle crash. He’s been charged for simple assault, DUI, and other crimes.

 

Two More MD’s Arrested in Opioid Battle

A Philadelphia psychiatrist and a pediatrician from Holidaysburg are the latest arrests in a campaign by the Pennsylvania Attorney General to round up physicians who illegally prescribe opioids. Dr. Bruce Lief is alleged to have illegally prescribed 25,000 pills to four of his patients that didn’t need them. Dr. Rebecca Delbaggio, was arrested in another case and charged with illegally writing prescriptions for Oxycodone and Xanax for boyfriend who was 20 years younger than her.

 

WANTED: Emmet Andrew Freshcorn

Pennsylvania State Police, Franklin
State Police in Clarion report that Emmet Andrew Freshcorn is the subject of a federal felony arrest warrant that they intend to serve. Freshcorn is a white male with black or dark brown hair and brown eyes with a tattoo on the right side of his neck, he was last known to live in or around Cranberry. Anyone who knows Emmet Freshcorn’s whereabouts should call (814)226-1710.

 

Three Arrested in Drug Bust

Pennsylvania State Police, Corry
Two men and a woman were arrested and charged for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance when state police from Corry intercepted their drug shipment. Theodore Terwilliger of Spartansburg was arrested with Dustin Dingle and Tasha Paver of Corry. All three suspects are currently in Erie County Jail.

 

Anti-Semitic Crime Rising Rapidly

The Anti-Defamation League of Pennsylvania has tracked a major increase in anti-Semitic activity within the commonwealth. According to the League the number of incidents of threats and violence against Jews has increased by 40% in the last two years with 96 incidents reported in 2017, including bomb threats against Jewish Synagogues and Community Centers. Perhaps more troubling, the number of events in schools has doubled between 2016 and 2017.
