No Injuries in I-80 Truck Crash

Nobody was injured when a tractor trailer overturned onto its side trying to avoid a collision on Interstate 80 near Barkeyville in Venango County. The Volvo Tractor driven by Mikhail Gergalo of Tocoma Washington flipped onto its side when he pulled it into the median to avoid colliding with a car that had stopped in the left lane of traffic due to a flat tire.

Mariner 1 Temporarily Shut Down

While the construction of Sunoco’s Mariner East 2 Pipeline is still in headlines across the Commonwealth, Pennsylvania’s Public Utility Commission has ordered the emergency shutdown of Mariner East 1. The commission ordered the pipeline be shut down and inspected on Wednesday after sinkholes related to the construction of Mariner 2. Mariner East 1 is a 330 mile pipeline that transports around 70,000 barrels of Natural Gas from the Marcellus Shale to a location outside Philadelphia every day and could be inoperable for 10 days while inspections of the pipeline are carried out along much of it’s length.
