Franklin Trespasser Found with Narcotics

Franklin Police officers say that while responding to a trespassing call on Buffalo Street they found Kaleb Thomas unconscious and in the fetal position on the back porch of a house. They say after finally managing to rouse Thomas he smelled of alcohol and showed multiple signs of impairment; a search revealed a small amount of narcotics Thomas was charged with possession, public drunkenness, and defiant trespassing.


None Injured in DUI Crash

Dustin McClaine of Slippery Rock was arrested for DUI and hit and run after attempting to flee the scene of a fender bender in Venango County’s Scrubgrass Township. McClaine could not stop in time to avoid a rear in collision at the intersection of State Routes 38 and 208, it’s alleged he tried to flee the scene but was too impaired to get very far.


Major Storm Shuts Down Much of State Ahead of Arrival

A state of emergency has been declared for 26 Central and Eastern Pennsylvania counties as a strong nor’easter storm cell blankets the region in as much as a foot of snow today. Trailers, tandem vehicles, motorcycles, and recreational vehicles have been banned on Interstates east of Altoona. Locally we may see snow showers deliver up to a foot of snow to our region between today and Friday Night
