Elder Couple Unharmed After Home Invasion

An 80 year old couple in Espyville were held up in their own home when an invader looking for money threatened them with a weapon. The anonymous couple were threatened by a white male who left their home with $150 that he had stolen from them. The crime happened on Thursday February 22nd and anyone with information should call Meadville State Police at (814) 332-6911


Franklin Man Arrested for Strangling

Ian Raglin was arrested by Police officers in the city of Franklin for domestic violence. Charges filed against Raglin include strangulation, simple assault, harassment, and possession of drug paraphernalia.


Mercer County Casino License Revoked

Plans to develop a miniature casino in Mercer County had to be scrapped and a gaming license returned when it was discovered the construction was planned too close to another casino’s location. State Law requires a minimum fifteen mile buffer zone between casinos and the Las Vegas Sands Corporation purchased their license too close to the location of planned construction in Lawrence County. Las Vegas Sands payed nearly $10 million for the license.
