Vernon Township Crash Sends two to Hospital

A Tuesday evening crash in Crawford County hospitalized two drivers. According to the Vernon Township Police Department Hunter Brooks of Newark New Jersey pulled onto the Conneaut Lake Road in from of the Olde Acquaintances store and into the path of Mary Proffit of Espyville. In the aftermath Mr. Brooks was life flighted to UPMC Hamot in Erie and and Ms. Proffit was taken by ambulance to Meadville.


Man Assaults Woman in Church Parking Lot

A Union City Man is charged with assault after allegedly dragging a woman through a church parking lot by her hair. Daniel Schoder is said to have thrown the woman to the ground by her arm before he grabbed handfuls of hair and dragged her; all the while pulling large amounts of hair out of her head.


GOP Challenges Redistricting in High Court Again

Republican party leaders in Pennsylvania are once again challenging the State Supreme Court over redistricting in Federal Court. House Speaker Mike Turzai along with Senate President Joe Scarnetti are seeking an emergency stay on the new map from the Supreme Court of the United States. Mimi Mckenzie is the legal director of the Public Interest Law Center and she thinks this second legal challenge will also be rebuffed, legal precedent has allowed courts to redraw voting districts in the past.
