Meadville Wins Award from Civic Organization

The City of Meadville was recently awarded a gold certification by the Sustainable Pennsylvania Community Certification Program. The award comes through the Pennsylvania Municipal League in recognition of the progress the town has made in several categories including energy efficiency, land use, community design, and more. City Manager Andy Walker expressed pride of the achievement in a press release and touted Meadville’s commitment to efficient use of tax money and resources.


Woman Jailed for Starving Dog to Death

Stacia Blymiller of Townville is being held in Crawford County Jail on $20,000 bail for cruelty to animal charges related to Liber’s law. According to State Police Blymiller left two dogs in an abandoned home and neglected them to the point where one of them died. She admitted to not taking adequate care of the animals.


State News: 5 Victims and Gunman Shot in Fayette County

A mass shooting southeast of Pittsburgh was reportedly motivated by jealousy. Timothy Smith shot and killed four victims and injured another at a carwash in Fayette County around 3am Sunday morning. It’s believed Smith turned the gun on himself after his rampage. He is currently on life support with a bullet wound to the head.
