Car Fatally Hits Pedestrian in Meadville

Between midnight and 4:30 AM Thursday morning  56 year old John Kellic was struck and killed by a car in a hit and run accident on Leslie Road near Meadville. It’s being said John was laying in the road and wearing dark clothing when he was hit. The driver of the vehicle turned themself in to the authorities, telling troopers he had no idea that he had hit a person. Anyone who may have witnessed the accident should call the Pennsylvania State Police in Meadville at (814)332-6911.

 

Man Arrested for Putting Woman in Hospital

An Erie man was arrested for the alleged assault of an Oil City Woman. 48 year old Allen Razza is accused of assaulting the unidentified female so badly she required hospitalization at UPMC Northwest. By the time authorities arrived Razza had left the scene but he was found and apprehended by State Troopers near Oil City’s swimming pool.

 

Could there be Free College in PA?

A pair of Pennsylvania based think tanks have unveiled a detailed plan to make community colleges and universities in the state more affordable, or even cost free, for qualified students. The Keystone Research and Pennsylvania Budget Policy Centers released the plan on Tuesday which includes federal Pell grants and offsets the estimated cost to the state with severance taxes on oil and gas extraction.
