Rockin Rich here – I regularly mention on the air during the WUZZ Rockin Morning Show about my personal preference of listening to music at home on vinyl. Back in the late 70’s and thru the 80’s – I was a serious collector with an awesome collection of over 3000 lp’s and over 1500 45’s. I sold off or gave away a great deal during the 90’s – just hanging on to my absolute favorites from my favorite bands. With record albums making a comeback over the last 10 or so years…produced on heavier and higher quality vinyl…I have been slowly replacing some of the old and worn out copies of my “can’t live without” favorites. My current mission is upgrading my Zeppelin stash with the newly released and re-mastered originals. These new releases are the original albums along with additional records of previously unreleased material. And they sound GREAT! Buying one these re-issued classic albums feels the same as it did when they first came out in the 1970’s with same excitement and thrill of that first time all over again. With all of the rush and “hurry up” instant gratification of today’s world…it’s refreshing to take a break, slow down, open a cold one…and put on a great album. Rock on!
