Rape Investigation in Venango County

Authorities are investigating an alleged rape in Venango County’s Jackson Township. An anonymous 18 year old woman alleges she was raped by an unidentified man in November 2016 while she was a teenager. State Police are not releasing any further information aside from their investigation is continuing.


Man Arrested for DUI After Passing Out at BK

A 29 year old Templeton man was picked up by State Police in Clarion for DUI after passing out in the drive through lane of a Burger King in New Bethlehem. Clifford Boyer was asleep inside his vehicle when employees called EMS thinking he was in danger but EMTs discovered Boyer was simply drunk. He was charged in the court of Judge Jeffrey Miller.


Casino Sues Commonwealth over Gambling Expansion

Pennsylvania’s own gaming industry is suing the State to stop the gaming expansion. Penn National Gaming which owns Hollywood Casino near Harrisburg filed the suit right as the Commonwealth is preparing to auction off the first of ten licenses for new ‘mini-casinos.’ Eric Schippers, a spokesman from Penn National, says the law will hurt existing casinos and that it is a hastily concocted money grab.
