Deer Creates Accident on Snow Covered Roads

A 21 year old driver was injured on snow covered roads in Venango County when she lost control of her car trying to avoid a deer. Samantha Conner’s card slid uncontrollably down Georgetown road in French creek Township after she applied the brakes and ended up completely rolling over before coming back to rest on all four wheels. Samantha was not wearing her seatbelt and was taken to UMPC Hamot for treatment of injuries.

Police Investigate Substance Found on Conneaut Lake Man

State Police allege that a Conneaut Lake man was caught for a DUI and possession of a substance they suspect to be heroin. Joshua Millin was initially pulled over for a minor traffic violation when police say they found him impaired behind the wheel. A search turned up what they suspect to be heroin.

Environmentalists Call for Dismantling of Mariner East 2

The Commonwealth suspended work on the Mariner East 2 Pipeline for what the DEP called egregious and willful violations of Sunoco’s permits, but to some environmental groups say that’s not enough. Some groups including Food and Water Watch call the pipeline that has already been built unsafe and contend that the state should forbid the project.
