Bad Weather Closes Schools and Businesses

The weather is what’s in the news today. Winter weather and wind chill advisories are effective throughout the region and have prompted many schools and institutions to work on two hour delays or even close. During the wind chill advisory period winds colder than 10 below zero could blow at sustained speeds around 13 miles per hour and gust even faster creating the potential for frostbite on exposed skin surfaces. With the winter weather advisory comes the possibility of up to a foot of snow to fall in snow belt areas in Erie and Crawford Counties. The wind chill advisory continues until noon on Saturday and the winter weather advisory ends at 7am on Saturday. Our own Operation Weather Alert is watching the situation and keeping track of all school closings and delays.
