Man Can’t Escape Police

Assault, DUI, resisting arrest, fleeing and eluding law enforcement – just some of the charges likely to be filed against Christopher Hartle of Oil City. State Troopers describe Hartle assaulting the passenger of his car as he traveled along 322 from Oil City to Meadville. He tried to escape from state troopers when they signalled him to stop but police fishtailed his car to stop him.


Out of State Man Charged for Breaking Gas Pump

James Porter of Canton Connecticut has been charged with criminal mischief after driving away from a gas station with the hose from the pump still in his vehicle. When Porter was pulling away from the Emlenton Truck Plaza with the hose still attached it pulled away from the machine and Porter was clearly seen removing the hose, closing his gas cap, and driving away.


State News: York Citizens Turn to Court to Stop New Mayor

In state news some citizens of York Pennsylvania are turning to the courts in an attempt to keep their newly elected mayor from swearing in. A group of the town’s residents have filed an injunction saying that Michael Helfrick’s conviction for drug possession in 1991 makes him ineligible for office.
