PSP Searches for 62 Year Old Car Thief

Harold Thomas is accused of stealing a car from his 81 year old stepfather

Linesville, PA –

Pennsylvania State Police are searching for a 62 year old Linesville man accused of stealing his stepfather’s car and about $2,000 worth of tools. Harold Thomas allegedly stole a black Hyundai Santa Fe with the license plate HVE-1879. If you have seen this vehicle call the State Police in Meadville at (814)332-6911. The vehicle belongs to Thomas’s stepfather Ray Stankiewiscz and both Thomas and the SUV have not been seen since the theft.

 

New Immunization Guidelines in PA Schools

Students now only have 5 days to get vaxed as opposed to eight months

Harrisburg, PA –

A reminder to parents that under the newest laws in Pennsylvania school aged children must have proof that all their vaccinations are up to date within 5 days of the beginning of the school year or a religious or health exemption form completed. You can check the necessary schedule of vaccinations with your family doctor or on Health.PA.gov. The new requirements are in response to outbreaks of vaccine preventable diseases in public schools including pertussis (whooping cough) and tetanus.

 

Troopers Investigate Theft and Destruction of Truck

A stolen pickup was discovered burned in Rome Township

Rome Township, Crawford County, PA –

State Police from Corry are investigating the theft and destruction of a 2004 Ford Ranger that belonged to Brush Run Lumber in Spartansburg. An unidentified white male stole the truck at around 10pm on August 19th and headed down Coon Road before driving into a field and crashing near Wright Road where he lit the truck on fire.

 

42 Injuries but Zero Fatalities in Train Derailment

AP reports no injuries were considered life threatening

Upper Darby, Pa –

In statewide news 42 people were injured when a train crashed in Upper Darby just after midnight last night. The Associated Press reports that four people including the train’s conductor were seriously injured and had to be hospitalized and that the cause of the crash is being investigated. At around 12:15pm a high speed train collided with with a stationary train at the 69th Street Terminal of Philadelphia’s suburb of Upper Darby; initial reports were that 33 people were injured but the number has been increasing with each progressive report on the crash.

 

Two More Suspects Arrested for Erie Shooting

Three of the four suspects are now in custody with one left outstanding

Erie, PA –

Two of four suspects were arrested for being involved in a shooting and robbery earlier this month. Keyshawn Fletcher and Marchiano Jones were both allegedly gunmen in a robbery attempt gone bad in Erie, another suspect named Jequii Kennedy is still being sought. A woman named Alyssa Stafford was also arrested, she was in custody only days after the shooting. Multiple sources report that the unidentified victim told police that he was lured into a home in Erie  by Stafford and then confronted by the three men, each carrying a firearm and threatening to kill him if he did not give them his money.

 

ATV Theft being Investigated in Warren County

ATV Belongs to 17 year old and has some modifications

Columbus Township, Warren County, PA –

Authorities are seeking a stolen ATV in Warren County’s Pine Township. The four wheeler is a 2012 Can AM Outlander 1000 with black fender flares and aftermarket rims and tires, it is colored camouflage. If you see this ATV call the State Police at (814)663-2043 or Warren County Crime Stoppers.
