Oil City Man Arrested for Raping Boy
William Diamond Junior allegedly admitted to sexually penetrating nine year old boy
Oil City, PA –
$75,000 bail was set for for William Diamond Junior after he was arraigned yesterday for the rape of a young boy which happened in June. Police say they investigated the incident for a month before bringing Diamond in for questioning and that he eventually admitted to committing sex acts with the boy who was only nine years old. In June Diamond met with the boy and his family and eventually lead him to a secluded spot where he admitted to anally penetrating the boy. After the act the boy returned to his parents and immediately told them what happened.
A forensic interview with the boy was how they gathered enough evidence to to question Diamond about the crime. Diamond is charged with rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, aggravated indecent assault of a child, involuntary statutory assault, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault of a person less than 13, and corruption of minors.

With the help of volunteers and special safety equipment Nearly fifty people with spine and brain disabilities were able to enjoy a day of jet skiing on the lake. Driver Punches Passenger Over Music
Man allegedly punched woman twice because she was singing and then fled the scene
Plum Township, Venango County, PA –
A man allegedly punched a woman twice in the face for singing along to the music on the car stereo. The identity of the man who allegedly punched the woman while they drove through Plum Township has not been released but he fled after his victim called 911 and still has not been found. According to State Police from Franklin the assault happened while the two were driving along Shadle Road, the woman exited the car and ran into a field to call 911 and her assailant fled. Charges of simple assault and harassment have been filed against the man.

Frank Brogan announces his retirement effective September First

Frank Brogan, the head of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, will be retiring starting on September the first. PASSHE will name a temporary successor soon and begin the search for a new Chancellor across all fifty states. Brogan has been the Chancellor of the PASSHE since 2014 and was under contract to remain until 2019. Brogan of course headed the organization during its first labor strike last year but he accomplished many things that are seen as positive including securing greater funding for the University System for each of the three years he headed the organization, improving online learning opportunities for students, improving the student transfer process, enhanced system wide accountability, and many others.
Woman Killed in Single Car Crash
Rachel West was declared dead at Warren County General Hospital
Pittsfield Township, Warren County, PA –
A car crash in Warren County claimed the life of a woman from Tidioute. Rachel West was taken to Warren General Hospital and pronounced dead after crashing into an embankment on Davy Hill Road around 3:30pm on Sunday. The collision caused her car to flip several times and Rachel was tossed from the vehicle.
