Male/Female Pair Charged for Sex with Minor

She said… but then he said…

Oil City, PA –

It’s he said/she said after a pair of Oil City residents have been charged with crimes related to having relations with a teenage girl. Erica Grimes reportedly told OCPD that she witnessed James Raben with a 17 year old; Raben told OCPD Grimes only saw it because she was involved too. The allegations are that they both at various times had oral sex with the teenage girl at Raben’s house earlier this month.

Grimes came to Oil City PD to report seeing Raben with the girl but did not mention any involvement of her own in the activities. A later interview with the girl in question and her family revealed that Grimes too was involved. Raben’s own interview included a confession and supported the teenager’s statements that they were all three involved in the activities. Raben has been charged with a first degree misdemeanor for corruption of a minor while Grimes has received the same plus an additional second degree charge for filing a false report and misleading a public servant.
