Death Penalty Possible for Man in Butler County

District Attorney considers death sentence for accused child rapist

Butler County, PA –

Butler County’s chief prosecutor may seek the death sentence against Jordan Lambing who is charged with the rape and murder of a four year old child. District Attorney Richard Goldinger is preparing to seek a penalty of death against Lambing whose young victim Bentley Miller may have actually been raped to death. Lambing will be facing trial for charges of homicide, rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of children, and reckless endangerment related to Bentley’s death. Goldinger also mentioned that Bentley’s Mother Mackenzie Peters may also be facing charges in the case for leaving her son in Lambing’s care and helping him hide after a warrant was written for his arrest.

 

Meadville Hockey Plays in National Tournament

Bulldogs will play at least 3 games in Cleveland Ohio against teams from across the country

Cleveland, OH –

The Meadville Bulldogs Hockey Team traveled to Cleveland yesterday for National Competition. The student athletes are competing in the USA Hockey High School National Conference Division and have a minimum of three total games thursday, friday, and saturday. They had a narrow 6-5 shootout loss to Frisco Texas last night.and will play their next two games against teams from Dayton Ohio and Chicago Illinois. Go Dogs!

 

Little League President Arrested

Police say Craig Griffin was in possession of drugs

Brookville, PA –

Last Tuesday Craig Griffen of Brookville was arrested while allegedly smoking marijuana and in possession of controlled substances outside of a bar named Dirty Emma’s. Brookville PD claims an undercover officer approached him and made the arrest on March 21st at around 9pm. Griffin is the President of the Brookville Area Little League and he is also a prison guard at SCI Forest. He has been charged with charged with four misdemeanors, including possession of a controlled substance, marijuana possession, and two counts of use/possession of drug paraphernalia and will have is preliminary hearing on May 11th.

 

Robots Go to War at Meadville High School

Metal in Motion’s 11th annual Robobots Competition features 40 mechanical gladiators

Meadville, PA –

Tomorrow morning is Metal in Motion’s 11th annual Robobots Tournament at Meadville High School and this year 40 teams from 20 different schools will compete in the robotic battle competition. Robots are designed and built by high school students. The doors open at 8am and the first round of battles starts at 9am. Admission is totally free and the Meadville Girls Softball Team will have a concessions stand for refreshments.
