West Forest School in Tionesta has finally reopened after an entire week of the building being off limits while workmen tried to prevent a strange odor coming from the school’s heating system. Classes resumed yesterday after a complete overhaul of the facility’s boiler room. Forest Area School District Superintendent Amanda Hetrick told local media that all three boilers in the Elementary School had been revamped with new regulators, drain cleaning, lines flushed, new foam insulation around power conduits, and caps on all unused piping. She also stated that the gas vents for the building were redirected as well and mentioned that they added sensors to detect dangerous gasses in the classrooms.
