Waterford Auto Dealership Catches Fire
Waterford, PA –
Humes Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and RAM in Waterford was closed yesterday after a major fire broke out in one of their buildings Monday night. A dozen fire companies from Erie County responded to the scene to battle the flames for around 90 minutes before the fire was under control. Chief — of Stanford Hose Fire Department told news outlets that the likely culprit was a car inside the building. Oil, gasoline, and other flammable products helped the fire spread quickly and burn more intensely than usual but fortunately nobody was harmed.
New Crawford County Judicial Center to Open in August
Meadville, PA –
Work on Crawford County’s new $17 million Judicial Center is on schedule and the building should be open by August. The construction work started in December 2015 and exterior work is nearly finished while interior work is well underway. Once completed the three story building will house three courtrooms, the Sheriff’s office, and space for Jurors. Construction should wrap up sometime in June or July and the building should be in operation by August.
Troopers Search for Runaway Driver
Vernon Township, Crawford County, PA –
State Police in Meadville are searching for a driver that fled the scene of a crash in the Northbound lane of I-79 in Vernon township. On Sunday Night someone crashed their 1998 Ford Explorer near the Meadville Exit into the embankment of the median and rolled it several times before taking off on foot.
Natural Gas Costs Rising

The supply costs of natural gas are increasing and that means utility companies are passing the expenses on to you. National Fuel gas has just received permission from the Utilities Commission to increase their price by 6.6% or about $54 a year for the average customer. Once every three months utility companies such as National Fuel are permitted to update their charges to reflect the prices of production on a dollar for dollar basis that does not include a profit markup.
