Authorities are looking into a body found in a shallow grave in Mercer County.  Shenango and Sharon police are investigating the incident.  The body was found around 12:30 Tuesday afternoon on Mercer West Middlesex Road in Shenango Township.  The remains haven’t been identified yet.

A Florida man is in the Butler County Prison after allegedly doing drugs in a bathroom while at the Butler Farm Show. 30 year old John Borrero was arrested by State Police in Butler County Tuesday night at the farm show grounds. State Police were called to the grounds just before midnight after security personnel got a tip that a man was doing drugs in the bathroom. The farm show security guards told police they went into the bathroom and saw Borrero flush a bag down the toilet and place another bag behind the toilet. Borrero faces a number of charges as the investigation is continuing.

A 56 year old man was flown to a Pittsburgh Hospital after falling in McConnells Mills State Park Tuesday afternoon.  According to the New Castle News the man had fallen at the Rim Road Climbing Area of the Park. The Slippery Rock fire department respnded to the scene.  The man was flown to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.  No other details were released.

Ninety-four state stores are going to be open for the first time this Sunday.  The addition brings the total number of stores open on Sunday to more than 300 statewide.  Liquor Control Board officials say Sunday is the second biggest shopping day of the week, so the move makes sense.  Customers can now also buy lottery tickets at more than 300 state stores.  The changes are part of a new law that went into effect on Monday.

The AK Steel Corp. has ratified a two-and-a-half-year contract with the union covering roughly 1,200 hourly and maintenance employees of the Butler Works plant. Inside Butler County reports reports Members of the United Auto Workers Local 3303 union voted on Monday and Tuesday in Butler.  Details of the new contract were not released.

Donald Trump is trailing Hillary Clinton in Pennsylvania.  A new poll from Quinnipiac University shows the Republican presidential nominee trails 52 to 42-percent in the state.  The university conducted the poll from July 30th to August 7th.  The numbers are in line with a recent Franklin and Marshall poll, which shows Clinton with an eleven-point lead.

Pennsylvania is among the more lenient states on DUI incidents.  WalletHub ranked Pennsylvania 48th in the U.S. on its new list.  The website says the state doesn’t require a minimum jail sentence for first time offenders, but there is a minimum fine of 300-dollars.  There are also pre-trial diversion programs for first time offenders.  Arizona has the strictest penalties followed by Georgia and Alaska.

A former Washington School District volunteer is on probation for having a sexual relationship with a student.  Leah Pagano was sentenced Tuesday to two years of probation after pleading guilty to institutional sexual assault.  The 15-year-old girl told police Pagano engaged in multiple sex acts with her over a ten-month span.  Pagano was a cheerleading volunteer and also worked with the Prexies musical production team.

At least two people were injured, one seriously, as a result of an accident in Butler County Wednesday afternoon. The crash took place around 12:30 on Bonniebrook Road.  A helicopter was called to transport one person to Allegheny General Hospital. A child was also injuried.  No other details were released.
