50th Annual Meadville Halloween Parade Theme Announced: “Nightmare on Chestnut Street”

The Crawford Area Young Chamber of Commerce members are in full swing planning one of the spookiest, most candy-filled Meadville Halloweens in 50 years. This year’s theme, “Nightmare on Chestnut Street” will bring downtown Meadville alive with classic Halloween themed floats and costumes for a shrieking good time.

Due to positive feedback over the past few years, the route will once again start on South Main Street and loop around Diamond Park before making its way down Chestnut Street and beyond, past thousands of onlookers.

Each year, proceeds that exceed operational expenses are donated to a worthy, local non-profit organization. Last year, the group raised money for the Crawford County Humane Society in Meadville. The CAYCC members are pleased to announce that this year’s beneficiary will be the St. James Haven.

The Meadville Halloween Parade is made possible by generous local businesses, organizations, and individuals that provide registrations, sponsorships, and donate in-kind services. Registration will be up and running by mid-August, online at www.meadvillehalloweenparade.com. NEW THIS YEAR – registration payments will be accepted online. If you’d like more information on how to support the Parade, please email caycchalloweenparade@gmail.com. Monetary donations are graciously accepted, and can be mailed to P.O. Box 231, Meadville, PA 16335.
