Area Technical Schools get $250,000

State Representative Parke Wentling, who represents parts of Crawford, Erie, Lawrence, and Mercer Counties has announced that area technical schools have received more than $250,000 in grant funding from the federal government this year. The grants come from the Business-Education Partnership program and will be used to promote awareness of what technical career fields are in demand in the area.

 

PennDOT Online Survey Underway

PennDOT is currently taking its annual customer survey for District 1. District 1 contains Crawford, Erie, Forest, Mercer, Venango and Warren counties. The 20 question survey takes around 10 minutes to complete and can be found online at www.penndot.gov/district1.

 

Wolf Weighs in on Federal Shutdown

Pennsylvania’s Governor Tom Wolf recently sounded off on the Federal Government shutdown. Governor Wolf called for the shutdown to end and also told members of the press that he has people in his administration dedicated to monitoring how the partial shutdown effects the commonwealth. He remarked that there is no significant impact on State Government but it greatly impacts vulnerable residents of Pennsylvania.
