Maroon 5 is rumored to be performing during the Super Bowl XIII halftime show in February. The news broke yesterday but has yet to be officially confirmed by the NFL.
While fans of the band are very excited, the potential halftime entertainment selection has upset some who feel like an Atlanta-based musical choice would have made more sense. Outkast, Ludacris, T.I., and Usher all hail from Atlanta and have been suggested as more fitting choices for the big game’s halftime entertainment.
It has not yet been announced if they will be performing with any special guests but Cardi B, who appears on their most recent hit “Girls Like You,” would be a good addition to their set.
