Rockin Rich here: The Moving Wall – a 1/2 scale replica of the National Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, DC – will be displayed in Meadville’s Diamond Park from Thursday September 20th thru Monday September 24th. This will be open and free to all visitors during this time 24 hours a day and is presented locally by The Veterans of the Vietnam War Post 52. This is an opportunity for all in our community…Veterans and non-Vets alike – to honor and remember those who paid the ultimate price during the Vietnam War. I am humbled to serve as emcee during the various scheduled events. In addition to the 20th anniversary since The Moving Wall’s last visit to Meadville – the 20th Annual POW/MIA Ride For Freedom will also take place on Saturday September 22nd…ending in Diamond Park. The “Ride To The Wall” will assemble at Walt’s Tavern in Conneaut Lake at noon and leave with a police escort at 3pm. All riders are welcome. Listen to the Rocky Morning Show for more info in the days to come. I hope you can plan to join us. Thank you.
